Terms we use

Ontology
A model of the things a business cares about and how they relate, with agreed definitions.
Harness
The governed layer an agent runs inside. It supplies meaning, constraints, authority and a path to act.
Rule as data
A policy stored as a record with severity, threshold, owner, effective date and reason, rather than hard-coded.
BLOCK
A rule result that stops an action before anything changes.
WARN
A rule result that lets the action proceed with a visible flag.
Dry run
A preview of what an action would change and which rules would fire, without writing.
Steward
The named person who owns a rule and approves changes to it.
Action engine
The component that runs requests through checks, approval, execution and audit.
Semantic layer
Business-term definitions of metrics and dimensions that queries use consistently.
Hash-chained audit
A log where each record includes a hash of the one before, so edits to history are detectable.
Learning loop
The process that turns overrides and near misses into proposed rule changes for steward review.
